It is a fact in our industry that those who have the highest command of knowledge get the highest rewards when they also have the skills to put it to work.
Knowing how to present your service values, engage skillfully in client centered conversations, and negotiating contracts with a level of expertise that gets a home sold or bought on behalf of your client is where our careers start and stop based on our belief in the power of knowing what we need to do and having the skills to carry it out.
In our group of RE/MAX franchises with over 585 agents we have taken the power of education to heart through our daily, weekly, monthly and annual educational events which are all focused on helping our people become better at what they do and better at closing sales on behalf of their clients.
Of all the events we run the International Convention is at the top of the ladder when our agents at any level of experience decide it is time to reinvent themselves.
Here is what one of our long time, very successful associates had to say about his experience this year after deciding to go to his first RE/MAX International convention.
Stefanie and I did not know what to expect when we went to our first REMAX R4 conference and I have to say we were both very surprised with the magnitude of the event; the wealth of information that was exchanged through the event was incredible. We were able meet and talk with a lot of people from all over the world on how they conduct their business, what did and did not work for them in various facets of their business, as well as tips on how to grow your business. We were also able to create new friendships from people all over the world and even from Vancouver. We were able to sit and have round table discussions with lots of agents who do much more business than we do and they were all very eager to share their ideas and thoughts on how they conduct their business.
Add to this the market place provides an opportunity to check out the newest and greatest with regards to real estate; plus giving you the chance to have a hands on experience with said merchandise.
The social events are fun and engaging and provide the opportunity to meet other REALTORS®, REMAX staff and their spouses in a social environment and further cementing potential lifelong friendships.
All in all we came back with some great ideas, great new friendships and a better idea of what RE/MAX has to offer anyone working under the balloon. I’m just sorry it took me over 24 years to finally go to one of the conventions.
